Admissions
The Local Authority coordinates admissions to all Primary, Infant and Junior Schools in Derbyshire. This includes children with disabilities and in local authority care. Essentially the Authority acts as a ‘clearing house’ for all admissions and enables parents to express a preference for one, two or three schools and to place those preferences in rank order. Parents can apply for a school place online via Derbyshire School Admissions or by telephone on Call Derbyshire 08456 058058.
Applications for a Primary school place in September 2024 close at Midnight on 15/01/2024. If you have not yet applied for a place for your child, you should make your application facility_available_at http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/education/schools_colleges/school_admissions/ which is available from 9:00am . Thereafter your application should be made through the In-Year application facility in the Changing Schools Section.
All applications for September 2024 open on 6th November 2023. with a closing date of 15 January 2024. The results of your application will not be available until April 2024 - Offer Day, and will be provided by the Local Authority. Appeal information can be found here .
Our published admissions number (PAN) for 2024 - 2025 is 20 pupils.
Parents are welcome to contact the school and Miss Kirk is very happy to show you round and answer any questions.
The majority of our children transfer to Crich Junior School. We have established transfer procedures between our two schools.
These include:-
- Discussions between teaching staff of both schools.
- Children’s visits.
- Parent’s meetings.
At the end of the Junior School, children usually move to one of the following three secondary schools.
