We held our school council elections this week, transforming Oak Class and the foyer into a polling
station on Friday, complete with ballot papers and ballot boxes! The children voted for one boy
and one girl to represent their class this year, demonstrating great maturity and respect for the
democratic process.
Prior to the election, the children composed letters of application to express their interest in being considered for the role of student councillor. Shortlisted candidates were then given the opportunity to read their letters to the class to support the children’s decisions when casting their vote.
We are extremely proud of every one of our children for their enthusiasm, commitment, respect and support for one another this week. They are superstars!
Thank you to all our school community for supporting Children in Need 2023! We have had a wonderful day and raised £103.50 - Thank you!

We value excellent relationships with parents/carers. Learning is a life-long experience and we value our partnership that we have with you in your child’s learning. We have an open door policy and parents/carers are welcome into school at any time. Many of our current parents/carers help with reading and classroom based activities.
We believe that by using a creative approach to the curriculum, all pupils can learn effectively through physical, visual and auditory approaches. We work very hard in school to make sure all pupils are included in their learning and there are lots of opportunities to discuss lessons, assess success and solve problems.
